Handset

The desk set is equipped with a handset with a coil cord used for receiving and transmitting calls. The

handset includes a push-to-talk (PTT) pressbar.

Personality Programming Switch (SWA)

Refer to the Main Circuit Board diagram at the end of this manual for the location of the Personality

Programming SWA switch.

SWA Switch Settings Table

Switch Determines: On Off (default)

SWA-1 Automatic Off-hook Monitor Monitor is asserted when

handset is taken off-hook.

Disabled

SWA-2 Latching MONITOR button. Monitor output latches after

MONITOR press (until PTT

occurs.)

Monitor output activated

only for duration of button

press.

SWA-3 Parallel audio mute operation. Mutes speaker audio while

parallel desk set is transmitting.

Handset is not muted.

TX audio from parallel

desk set is heard in

speaker.

After any switch setting changes (except SWA-8), the power to the desk set must be cycled for the new

settings to take effect.
